The WS U9 Spirit Continue to Dominate
After winning the U9 Girls Division 1 Fall season, the WS Spirit under coach Kent Podvin, continue to play outstanding soccer, winning the first three games of Cup play with a 3-0 record by scoring 17 goals and giving up none.

Here are the results of their games:
PA Classsics 4-0
Lower Merion 4-0,
Previously unbeaten Boyertown 9-0

The WS Spirit will play the semi-final game on 5/5 (away) against the winner of the quarterfinals between two other bracket winners.

Finals is 5/19 at a neutral site.

Lets all wish the WS Spirt congratulations on their success and best wishes for the games ahead.

Schofield Named USL-2 Player of the Week
Ombiji and Velten also recognized for their efforts

(Harrisburg, PA May 7, 2007) The United Soccer Leagues announced today that three members of the Harrisburg City Islanders have been named to the USL Second Division Team of the Week and that David Schofield has earned the honor of Player of the Week. David Schofield (midfield), Brian Ombiji (midfield), and Tim Velten (defender) were all recognized for their efforts against the USL-2 perennial powerhouse Charlotte Eagles. Continued...
